1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the NetLoc8 API and website (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

NetLoc8 provides a REST API for IP geolocation, IP validation, and timezone resolution. The Service uses a combination of proprietary data, industry-standard geolocation databases, and other data sources to return geographic information such as country, region, city, coordinates, and timezone.

3. Account Registration

To use the API, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys. You must not share your API keys with unauthorized parties.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures.
  • Use the Service to track, surveil, or identify individuals without their consent.
  • Redistribute or resell the geolocation data provided by the Service.
  • Send automated requests designed to overload or disrupt the Service.

5. Rate Limits

API requests are subject to per-key rate limits. Exceeding these limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Persistent abuse may result in temporary or permanent key revocation.

6. Data Accuracy

IP geolocation data is approximate and derived from multiple sources, including proprietary data and third-party databases. NetLoc8 does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of geolocation results. The Service should not be used for purposes requiring precise location data.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. NetLoc8 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and revoke API keys at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service or other users.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
